Only then look at the PC, and note precisely what it does: no lights at all, lights but no display, a logo that hangs, or Windows starting and the EPOS failing to open. What Can Genuinely Be Swapped Quickly

Some failures really are fast: a dead power supply, faulty memory, a machine choked with dust, or a failed system drive where a good recent image exists. On a local install you need a nightly copy of the database file somewhere physically separate, and you need to have opened one of those copies to confirm it restores. Where a drive has already failed with the only copy on it, recovering data from a failed shop drive is usually possible — but that is bench work measured in days, not the hour you have on a Saturday.

A Recent Job Just Off Raeburn Place
